The Hobbit, or There and Back Again is a fantasy novel and children’s book by English author J. R. R. Tolkien. It was published on 21 September 1937 to wide critical acclaim, being nominated for the Carnegie Medal and awarded a prize from the New York Herald Tribune for best juvenile fiction. The book remains popular and is recognized as a classic in children’s literature.

The journey of Frodo and his Companions who are planning to come to the Cracks of Doom and destroy the Ruling Ring there is getting dangerous. The wizard Gandalf dies at the battle in the Mines of Moria. Boromir embraced with the thirst for power tries to seize the ring by force. Frodo and Same leaves the company as they are attacked by Orcs. They continue their journey alone going down to the great Rover Anduin not noticing that a mysterious creeping figure is following them all the time.

The wind is strong on the Yorkshire moors. There are few trees, and fewer houses, to block its path. There is one house, however, that does not hide from the wind. It stands out from the hill and challenges the wind to do its worst. The house is called Wuthering Heights. When Mr Earnshaw brings a strange, small, dark child back home to Wuthering Heights, it seems he has opened his doors to trouble. He has invited in something that, like the wind, is safer kept out of the house.
